About the E-training Module for Master Trainers on AMB

Introduction

Anemia Mukt Bharat Training tool kit is a well-researched and organised training module including power point presentations prepared by expert resources from partner agencies which include AMB-PMU at MoHFW, ICMR - NIN, IEG, NCEAR-A, NCEARD, SBCC Tarang Hub - NCCDC and UNICEF.

This tool kit has been used for conducting face-to-face training of master trainers. The content covers knowledge as well as skills necessary for identifying, diagnosing and treating anemia, planning and budgeting of communication activities for behaviour change. It also includes use of the online AMB Dashboard designed as a one stop portal for reporting, monitoring and review, through data mining and analysis, and applying quarterly progress report formulae for different indicators as per HMIS.

This training tool kit has been transformed into an E-training module. This E-training module retains the content from the tool kit (as approved by MoHFW), while adapting and improvising it for imparting training on e-platform.

The training content is organised under six units, with different sessions and activities. This E-training module caters to the needs of the Master Trainers (MT) of AMB.

E-training Module

This is a self-paced-learning E-training module that has the following features:

Knowledge/understanding gained is tested through a series of objective tests for each activity.

Skill of using devices like testing Hemoglobin level are demonstrated through AV/ animation (sourced from authorized sources from partner agencies). Questions based on same are asked at the end of the session to test retention of knowledge as well as the procedure (sequential steps).

Activities (like pairing group exercises) are improvised into interactive game.

On successful completion of all the units with a minimum of 80%, a certificate shall be issued as a Mater Trainer on AMB.

Text of the session content including note for facilitators, tips for facilitating the session, notes and references for further reading are provided in the online module so that the MT is able to build on this to facilitate further trainings confidently.

LMS Platform

The E-training module will be developed on popular Moodle Learning Management System (LMS) which offers various training features and seamless integration of various media, test and evaluation tools. Moodle is a free and open-source learning management system written in PHP and distributed under the GNU General Public License.
